I’ve been working on an analog album (not my usual electronic music) recently, and I’ve been having more progress than I have in the past. That’s not saying much, but never mind that. I’ve noticed that as I’ve come up with some unusual tunes, I’ve had the urge to share them in a raw, minimalistic form. For example, minutes after composing this, I couldn’t help but post it on SoundCloud:
There isn’t much to this, both in length and depth. It has some odd timing that I came up with almost accidentally, though, and I’m really enjoying it (probably because it sounds like a lost 1980s song). Just a few minutes ago, I put together a drum/piano track idea that is in 12/3 time (or is it 3/12 time? I should look that up sometime), and I’m getting that same feeling. I suppose it’s similar to new parents that have a kid; it’s unremarkable in comparison to other human life and isn’t really anything yet, but the creators think it’s the future ruler of mankind and want to grant all their friends and family the chance to meet the legend before his/her rise to power. This being the case, I’ll stop releasing stuff so early, unless requested individually.
The release date I’m shooting for is before 2012. I’d like to have some sort of small release before that, though. I won’t put any ugly babies on it.

I talked to one of the artists on my label and he agreed to release a single for his song “x2+y2+z2-t2=0″. He has had the unmixed version of the track available for some time,
