Thoughts on music:
Music is an art form, and should be treated as such; creativity exists outside of any commercial or governing interest. Though those can inspire the art, they should have no say in its outcome; for better or for worse, that is artistic censorship. Many musicians nowadays have very little talent outside of their own genre, which can be disappointing when you want to hear something new from them. Genres are a lazy way to group similar sounds together; they should not dictate what an artist does.
