Primary Guitar
Steve's main electric guitar is a Jackson DK2 Eerie Dess Swirl that he got second hand around 2006/2007. Within a few months, Steve replaced the original humbucker pickup with a Duncan Performer Detonator. Very little research went into that change, it was done to give the guitar a more custom look.
On July 15th, 2026, Steve re-wired the humbucker circuit for a cleaner wiring job during a maintenance session.

This is Steve's collection of pedals, with no particular order other than the first ones being more favored to use.
Keely Octa Psi Transfigurating Fuzz
This pedal was purchased in 2026 as a refurbished item. This matte black pedal provides a fuzz effect and/or a pitch effect that Steve was looking to have for years. The pedal has two foot activation switches that activate the pitch effect and fuzz effect independently.

DigiTech XHP Hyper Phase
This pedal was purchased in 2006 as a refurbished item. This metallic gray-blue phaser pedal is discontinued and currently has an issue where the bypass (which is buffered, not analog) mutes the output, but the pedal still works when active.

Dunlop GCB-95 Cry Baby
Currently Steve's only pedal with foot-controlled variability. He doesn't use this pedal on recordings much; it mostly adds a fun way to augment guitar solo stuff. Purchased as new in 2007, and has circuit board revision H.
On July 16th, 2026, Steve modified this pedal. The 0.01μF electrolytic capacitor in location C3 was replaced with a 0.022μF film capacitor. The 1.5k ohm (temporarily unconfirmed value) resistor (blue) in location R5 was replaced with a 2.2k ohm (tan) resistor. The 33k ohm (temporarily unconfirmed value) resistor (blue) in location R5 was replaced with a 68k ohm (tan) resistor. The empty C7 slot was given a 0.33μF box film capacitor for additiona power supply noise filtering. The pedal's gear components were completely cleared of factory grease and Super Lube multi-purpose lubricant was applied. Gearing was repositioned to take advantage of the new tonal changes.

Behringer UC100 Ultra Chorus
A cheap pedal purchased in 2006 to add a chorus effect before acquiring an amp with the effect built-in. It's fine, and has since been discontinued. The sticker on the bottom has come off so the date code and serial number are unknown now.
On July 15th, 2026, Steve repaired and modified this pedal. The repair removed battery corrosion from improper long term storage, and the modification was merely a yellow lens, yellow light LED to replace the original clear lens, red light LED for the "ON/BATT" indicator.

Behringer UD100 Ultra Distortion
Steve's first amplifier had a distortion tone he liked, but he knew pedals provide tone options and this budget pedal was a good way to test that. Made in China, bought in 2006. Serial number N0515574434, date code 0507.

Danelectro FAB Overdrive
Layering distortion and overdrive gives a lot of rough sound options. This budget-friendly pedal is made in China and bought in 2006. On July 15th, 2026, Steve modified this pedal, replacing the original L40 473 (0.047 μF) orange MLCC capacitor in location C105 with a 333K100V (0.033 μF) green mylar film capacitor, altering the filter frequencies of the pedal.

Danelectro FAB Flanger
Steve wasn't sure what the difference between a phaser and a flanger was when buying this, but was already in posession of the (working at the time) XHP Hyper Phase pedal. This budget-friendly pedal is made in China and bought in 2006.

Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner
An instrument tuner in the form of a white painted guitar pedal, with two outputs; one to always send signal through, and one that mutes the signal when tuning is turned on. Metal case, two buttons, one input, and two outputs of different types. This pedal is made in Taiwan and bought July 7th, 2026. It was a used model at time of purchase at The Music Shop of Southington, Connecticut.
