The Best of FPFM

Postby Steve » Tue Nov 30, 2010 1:16 am

A compilation album for FPFM artists! I'd like to get a track or two from everyone on the label and put them on this. It can be released or unreleased (in the latter case, why have you been been keeping it secret, yo?), and be pretty much any other unusual circumstance, as long as it was made (or first released) in 2010.

If you're not an FPFM artist, let me know your favorite songs from the label this year!

If you are an artist on the label, you can do the same, and let me know what track of your own you'd most like to have on the compilation.

Sounds good to me. Feel free to use any tracks from Visual Abominations or Fun To Steal for it. I'd recommend "Handsome Volcano Rocks" (Probably the most popular track I've ever WRITTEN. <_< ) and "Long Live The Windmill".

Those are re-released songs, though; they came out in 2008 and 2009, didn't they?

Though, I was interested in putting your recent cover on it, but that has a non-label artist and that might complicate things with him or the public reception of a "Best of FPFM" album.

Do you plan on releasing that album you mentioned before January? It would be pushing it, but maybe there's a stand-out track on there.

Any songs by any other artist here that you've particularly liked?

Well then, what's your personal favorite song you made?

To eliminate any possible confusion, that isn't the album cover.

Off the top of my head, I like Malkmusian's cover of Primitive Radio Gods' "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand." I'd recommend that. I'll get back to you on some others though.

As for the other one, I had planned on releasing it before January, but it seems kinda strange putting it on a Best Of compilation when the year's only gonna last another few weeks. I dunno. Am I the only one who thinks that?

I get what you mean, and I was hesitant for that reason, too. It's right at a bad time to release something for a best of 2010 or 2011.

If you're talking about the one with me, I don't mind. I was expecting it to be put up here a long time ago anyway.

Yeah, it was going to be, but we had a slight lack of Halloween-themed music, so we ended up combining that compilation with the Winter one, which still needs to be released as well. Waiting on a couple of submissions for that one, though. It'll definitely be released before the 24th of this month.
