I got two songs by Malk and added them to the list. I think mid-April will work for the due date. Let's go with the 12th for now.

alright, i'm gonna submit something. and what luck, since i've recently finished a new song. i'm going to submit that, thought i'm not sure if it's "springy"... but it's got "spring" in the title, so it should be good enough.

also, do i PM you the song or just post it here?

Either way is fine, but if you post it here, it'll be less of a surprise on release day (anyone can view this page and download it).

Anyone have any art yet? If you're almost done, be sure to not put any title on it yet, just save it without one; we still need some title ideas, too. Mine is "A Warm Spring Night", but that seems pretty generic. It seems to fit the songs so far, though.

Mac is working on the orchestral track to a Muse cover we want to do ("Blackout"), which I will be providing the Mandolin and Guitar tracks for.

For the album art, we should just use my avatar. It's springy, pleasing, and everyone's seen it on this forum. Maybe an FP icon with softer colors and edges.

Maybe, but we'd have to add a title, and you'd have to find a much bigger version of it.
It would also mean "A Warm Spring Night" wouldn't work out too well for the name (which is fine by me, but I'm just adding that in).

New update: I'm talking to MissMetalyssa, and it appears we have out first album art submission:

I think this looks a lot like how the set of music feels at the moment. We're still accepting other submissions, though. We still need a back cover and an album title, too!

I'm going to remix one of my Creativity Placebo songs for this. That shouldn't take long, and I may even throw in a second track if I have the time.

Deadline as of now is MAY THIRD!

Who will start out? Any ideas for what genre/style?

I probably won't be able to start, since I'm pretty terrible when it comes to starting a new song. That, and I use a whole bunch of VST's that I don't think you have.

As for a genre, I'm up for pretty much anything.

Alright... I was thinking I could just import your .WAV and you tell me what BPM you used, and I could just layer my part on yours.

I guess something like what I had on my EP, only... With whatever it was missing. I'm not too great at starting new songs either.

Mastering and such is a lot easier if we do it the normal way (sending the project back and forth), so yeah.

Just make a couple of bars of music, save it as a zip file, and send it to me.

So, what, something you can loop (not a whole song's worth of time)? That would make my job a lot easier/faster, but I don't mind making it in full, I guess.

Make a couple of bars, and I'll just continue the song from there. Then I'll save it and send it to you etc.

Yeah, save the project as a zip. That way, all the samples that you've included in the song will be included in the zip file.

Collaboration should be more open. Each stage of the project should be free to download so we can get branches of remixing instead of just a back and forth.

That sounds like a cool idea for a different project. Some sort of "Remix Tree" collaboration. YCP did something like that with videos. I'm sure we could do the same if we all got together and really worked at it.
