Ever come up with something which you thought would be life-changing for people if it were made reality?

In the dream, it was apparently so powerful they only had to run it a few seconds to get a few hours-worth of power for a factory of some sort, but the exhaust was so thick and poisonous, people nearby suffocated in a few seconds.
I'm not sure if it would work in reality, but oddly enough, it makes some sense.

But graphite isn't explosive, which was why gunpowder was used in the first place, according to the dream I had, at least.
