2012: Supernova

Postby Steve » Thu Aug 05, 2010 7:25 pm

I saw a low budget version of 2012 called 2012: Supernova.

Worst movie I've ever seen. Think of every problem a movie has ever had, and let a Lego brick represent that problem. Fill a dumpster up with Lego bricks. That dumpster contains 2012: Supernova.

It starts out with a family with no personality, and then they leave to go somewhere, but they get chased by some people with guns. They drive to some abandoned warehouse and have the corniest chase scene I've ever seen (running at a jogger's pace is least of that scene's concerns). They eventually get cornered in the warehouse and the "terrorists" ask why platinum was sent into space recently. He doesn't know, and just then his team comes in and shoots the terrorist. That terrorist group doesn't show up in the movie again after that, but another one does.

But I wouldn't want to improve the ending by spoiling it for you, so I'll let you watch it for yourself. It's actually quite a feat; it sets a very low standard for modern movies. You may even acquire a taste for silent movies.

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, which would be better titled as "Douchebag: The Movie."

Epic Movie.

Not the worst movie ever, but god what a depressingly unfunny movie. There were a lot of jokes that had some great potential, only to be squandered by bad delivery or presentation. There were a few jokes that were more than just decent, but it's just not worth rewatching.

I had seen Jack and Jill a few weeks ago...that was a really worst movie I think.
